The ROCCOs are the annual business awards of Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce. Held annually in November for over a decade, they allow local businesses and organisations of all sizes to enter a wide range of awards categories. We are delighted to announce that founder of Tweetiepie Media, Lizzy, has been shortlisted in the Young Business Person of the Year category, sponsored by West College of Scotland.

Commenting on the shortlisting process, Chamber President Tom Johnston said, “This year we received 95 entries, the most we have ever received and the standard of entry across the board was, as expected, of a high quality. Three judges for each award independently scored every entry (sponsor, Board Director and a subject matter expert) and the top 3 scores go forward to the next stage that starts 20th October, where the finalists present to the judging panel and convince them why they believe they are a worthy ROCCO winner. Frank from Gap TV also starts the process of recording an HD video for every finalist to be shown on the night.”

As a growing business, we feel incredibly proud to be shortlisted in the same awards as huge corporations and exciting businesses alike. The Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce have always provided excellent support for young entrepreneurs, and do their utmost to celebrate business talent in the Renfewshire area. We will be doing our bit to promote the awards with the hastag #2014Rocco and hope to see plenty of others do the same!
