Is your business using Facebook properly?
Facebook is a fantastic marketing platform for businesses. Not only is it free, it allows you to engage with your customers on a more personal level.
We’re all guilty of it – popping onto Facebook to look for something and suddenly it’s 4 hours later! With over 968 million people worldwide accessing Facebook daily, how can your company make the most of this audience? We’ve put together some of our top tips for posting on Facebook:
1. Be Yourself
First things first, Facebook should be relaxed! When writing a post, you should consider: does it reflect the tone of your business? Your business has a personality – let your customers see that!
2. Keep it Interesting
Did you know that 21% of people surveyed said that they would unfollow a business on Facebook if the posts are repetitive or boring? Quality over quantity is the aim of the game when it comes to posting. Posts should be concise, interesting & relevant to your business.
3. Include a Photo
According to HubSpot research, photo posts bring in 55% more leads than regular text posts! As well as this, over 20% of the respondents said that images are their most preferred content type.
4. Don’t Fill the Newsfeed!
It can be difficult to find the balance between having a strong social media presence and filling up everyone’s newsfeed. 19% of people said that they would unfollow a company on Facebook if they saw more than 6 posts per day. We all have that one friend or business that posts way too often – don’t become one of them!
5. Be as Helpful as Possible
This means more than just responding to comments (although this is important too!). Are you posting about an event? Include a link to it in your post! Posting about a menu? Link to the menu! Make it as easy as possible for your customers to find out more information. Including a link is also a great way to direct people to your website!
